God calls us to love our neighbor as yourself and we can do that locally and globally by reaching out to show love and support for orphans. That love can be in the form of assistance for education, clothing, food, recreation equipment, vocational training, housing, medical care and safe drinking water.

River Run for Orphans provides a fun venue to bring families and communities together to show support and love for those children throughout the world whom are without families.

This is an opportunity for groups to raise money for the orphan projects of their choice. In three years $113,000 have been raised for orphans. After 5 national events, there have been 1,560 participants

Each church, school or community group decides where to invest the money that they raise.

We are looking for churches to host a River Run for Orphans in their community. With our event planner and regular planning consultations from our staff, a church needs at least 4 months to successfully organize an event that will change their church, their community and the world. Contact us to become a host church for a River Run for Orphans event. Hope@RiverRunforOrphans.org

History of River Run for Orphans

The first event took place in Durango, Colorado on September 20 , 2008. It would not have happened without the inspiration and guidance of Pastor Dwight Saunders.
He and his wife Linn have adopted 12 orphans from around the world. They lead regular trips to serve orphans in Africa. Picture below is of Dwight and Linn with some of their children at the 2011 event.
